My 5 Most Favorite Parts of the Day!

I decided to blog on "My five favorite parts of the day." Here they are, in no particular order...

When Chad comes home. The past couple weeks Chad has been doing CNA training in Salt Lake. He's been leaving before Elizabeth and I wake up for the day, so it's just really exciting when he comes home, for me and the baby. I love how she knows that she hasn't seen him all day! She gets really excited when he comes home (if she's not crying about something else at the time). I like that a lot.

When Elizabeth eats. I contemplated whether this was a favorite of mine, because sometimes breastfeeding isn't the easiest thing in the world to do. Lately, Elizabeth has gotten WAY more interested in the world around her and not interested in her groaning tummy, but she and I are working on it. However, I still love this time that I have with her. When she's eating, it's easier to slow down and realize how dependent she is, and it makes me feel like a good mommy! (I seriously suggest breastfeeding to all expecting mothers.)

When Elizabeth wakes up. She is soooo happy and relaxed when she wakes up. She giggles, she whispers, she coos. It's great, I love it! Anything and everything I do makes her laugh... it's adorable!

When Elizabeth and I go outside. I put a chair outside on our porch so that Elizabeth and I can go out and watch the neighbors and see the people walking and driving by. The baby's curiosity is endless! She never gets fussy from being bored when we're on the porch. She doesn't need any toys or anything; she just watches the world. Ohhhhh, I like her so much!

When Elizabeth looks in the mirror. We have a mirror above her changing table and every time her diaper or clothes are changed she must look in it! It's very precious. She always has a big smile ready for me in the reflection. And I always have kisses ready for her!

Saving on shampoo...

I cut my hair! I didn't want to... I felt like it was a symbol of giving in to the trials of motherhood... but it's GREAT! I love it! I wish I had done it months earlier. Here's a picture!

(My hair looks cute, but it's been a long day of Elizabeth and allergies.)

Seven Peaks Pain Park

Note:
If you are planning on something all day, and you're right about to do it but a complication arises that would not make it fun, don't do it.

For example, swimming! We got season passes this year to Seven Peaks Water Park and today was the day it opened. Everything was ready: baby in her suit, mommy in her suit, and Chad was racing us there on foot for his exercise of the day. We get our photo ID passes. We found a place to sit. Chad had changed into his bathing suit and Elizabeth had all her sunscreen on. Then, it got really windy.

We had a pretty fun time in the water, but I think it might have been outweighed by how miserable it was getting out of the water. While we were swimming, the wind just got worse. Our towels were still with our stroller and blanket, but we had brought a little robe to the side of the pool for Elizabeth. Oh my goodness! She was soooo sad! The poor girl had missed her morning nap and it was about time to eat, but instead of being warmly cradled in mommy's arms filling her tummy with warm goodness, she was thrust dripping wet into the chilling abyss of a wind storm with nothing more than a robe. It was so sad!

But she's our little soldier! She puts up with so much from us! She's doing great now and she loved the water in the shower after her nap. I don't think this will have lasting repercussions, but it was still so sad. So I've learned my lesson. The baby is more important than all the planning, excitement, anticipation, and sunscreen that has already been applied.

My New Committment

I have decided that I am now going to become a blogger! We just have so much fun everyday starting our little family that I want to share it with everyone else. We have the best little baby girl in the world! I think that I mainly want to show her off! She's a cutie!
I also want to be better at staying in touch with my family and friends, and I hear that blogging is great for that. It'll be nice to blog on my pet peeves with cleaning, my favorite t.v. shows, and other things like that... I'm excited! Hopefully I can keep this up!
